TTS Audio Playback on Your Terms

Evie reads your books out loud using any TTS engine installed on your phone, and works even when your screen is off or in the background. Control playback from:

· Wear OS smartwatches (with internet & account)

You can also adjust voice speed, pause length, and even use a built-in equalizer to fine-tune your listening experience.

No, Evie cannot access or read books from other apps like Kindle or Google Books unless you can export the file. If you see a “Share” or “Send To” option in those apps, try sharing the file with Evie.

2. What file types does Evie support?

Evie supports EPUB, PDF, MOBI, AZW, AZW3, FB2, FB2.ZIP, DOCX, RTF, HTML, and TXT—as long as the files are not DRM-protected.

3. Can I use Evie with any voice?

Yes! You can use any Text-to-Speech engine installed on your phone. For premium, lifelike voices, Evie also supports Amazon Polly (optional, paid feature).

4. Does Evie work offline?

Yes, Evie works completely offline with your installed TTS engines. Online connection is only required for cloud features like Polly or translation.

5. Is Evie really free and ad-free?
